Report: Pres says Iran approaches pre-sanction oil output level
MOSCOW, May 10 (PRIME) -- Iran will soon reach an oil output level that it had before the sanctions, President Hassan Rouhani told agency Tasnim in an interview published May 8, which could facilitate further international oil production freeze negotiations as Tehran earlier refused to participate because the oil industry was hit by the sanctions.
Rouhani said that oil production at the pre-sanction level will help solve the trouble of Iran’s banking accounts.
Director of the National Iranian Oil Company Roknoddin Javadi said earlier that Tehran will be ready to join an oil output freeze plan in one to two months after it reaches the pre-sanction output.
Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh told channel IRINN that the conditions of an international agreement to support oil prices proposed earlier by Saudi Arabia are unacceptable to Iran.
